One Fertile Catfish from the pond

Egg (beaten with milk)

Cornmeal

Salt to taste

Cooking Oil

Iron Skillet

Actual experimental recipe

  tested in Grandmother’s kitchen.

Prepare catfish as usual placing fish eggs aside for this recipe.  Heat  iron skillet and oil on medium-high.  Mix cornmeal and a dash of salt in bowl.  Beat egg with a little milk in separate bowl.   Dip catfish eggs in egg/milk batter and then coat with cornmeal mixture.  Fry in hot iron skillet until nicely browned.

Try this.... does it taste like sawdust to you?
